Strike!

Its been a heady few days but the MTA strike seems to be coming to an end. While I feel for all the people who had to walk into work from the boroughs, it is always exciting to have daily life interrupted in such a large city.

On an ordinary day the experience of a New Yorker living in an Upper East Side penthouse has little in common with one living deep in Brooklyn or Queens. However, when we face common hardships, such as the transit strike or the blackout, we seem to find some unity in the shared experience.
